Since 2018, it has also been possible to enjoy the atmosphere under the illuminated trees and select Christmas trees at the Christmas tree market in the evening hours under special lighting.

Magnificent Nordmann firs, fine silver firs and lots of brushwood are available from 8 to 23 December at the traditional Christmas tree market on Residenzplatz. The trees are freshly cut - during the ideal moon phase, of course - and come from Flachgau and the Kobernaußerwald.

The producers themselves are on site and provide information about the origin and special features of the trees and have plenty of tips on how to keep the tree looking good for a long time.

If you can't or don't want to carry your tree home, you can collect it by car from the Michaelertor entrance during the loading time from 6 to 11 am. Simply choose, reserve and collect the next day. Large trees are also delivered directly.
