The Grödig Nativity Scene Association, led by chairman Herbert Skalicky, has set itself the task of cultivating the nativity scene and promoting the building of nativity scenes. However, the religious and educational values that are closely linked to the nativity scene should not only be conveyed to young people.

The Grödig Nativity Scene Association is a member of the umbrella organisation of Austrian Nativity Scene Friends based in Innsbruck. This organisation has been in existence for more than seven decades and now has more than 10,000 members throughout Austria.
